The first stage of Syncrude's Upgrader Expansion, commonly referred to as UE1, is a major expansion of Syncrude's oil sands facility at Fort McMurray, Alberta.
The project will increase capacity of Syncrude Sweet Blend to approximately 360,000 barrels a day by 2005.
Major new units include a new Fluid Coker (the third one) with a capacity of approximately 95,000 barrels per day.
