New at Supermétal's Western Division in Leduc, Alberta, the construction of platforms and stair towers. Built for our valued client, WorleyParsons and MEG Energy, we are assembling over 30 platforms and 4 stair towers at our Leduc facility. The impressive structural platforms average 20ft width and 50ft in length are shipped to the mod yard for equipment placement or directly to site. We are working closely with the client and mod yard to ensure competitiveness and project schedule compliance. The platforms are part of a 7500-ton contract that was fabricated between March-December 2011.
The stair tower recently built measures 74' in length and 24' high. Our steel erection division, Supermetal Construction Inc., is based in Leduc and was able to assemble the stairs, frame, and hand rail, in a month and was shipped on a 48-wheel heavy haul trailer unit.
Supermétal has also initialized rail transport from our facility in Rock Hill SC, to module yards in Alberta. Utilizing rail, the project has kept shipping costs at a minimum.
