Sylvie Boulanger has over 20 years of experience in the industry, 10 years as Quebec Regional Manager for the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction. She obtained her bachelors, masters and doctorate in civil and structural engineering from the University of Alberta (Edmonton), the University of California (Berkeley) and from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Lausanne) in Switzerland.
In addition, she has been a member of several Canadian and North American industry committees, including the CISC Committee on Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel and the AISI Construction Sustainability Task Group. She is currently part of the CSA-S16 Technical Committee on Structural Steel Design and the North American Steel Construction Conference planning committee. She writes for CISC's Advantage Steel Magazine and AISC's Modern Steel Construction. She is also a sought after speaker.
Sylvie Boulanger is a registered engineer in the provinces of Québec (OIQ) and Ontario (PEO).
