An experienced designer and engineer, Jacques Blouin began working at Supermetal in 1979 as a project engineer, estimator and supervisor of welding techniques. In 1983, he was made a vice-president of the company and has headed several areas and projects. Since 2010, he is chair of the board of directors.
Mr. Blouin was awarded a Masters Degree in Project Management from the University of Quebec. He has also completed studies in management and in various disciplines connected with steel manufacturing. He is a registered engineer in the province of Quebec (OIQ), a member of the Canadian Welding Bureau and the Alumni Association of Laval University.
